FCC Technician / FCC Standby Technician

Job Description
- Monitor the operational status of the Building Management System (BMS), Fire Alarm System (FAS), CCTV, access control, lift monitoring, and other facility monitoring platforms.
- Respond promptly to system alarms, faults, and emergency notifications and initiate the appropriate response in accordance with established procedures.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams, engineers, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely rectification of reported defects and system faults.
- Receive, record, and assign maintenance requests through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or helpdesk.
- Monitor the progress of maintenance work until completion.
- Conduct routine inspections of FCC equipment and communication systems. Perform routine inspections and functional checks of FCC equipment, communication systems, workstations, and monitoring software.
- Prepare daily operational logs, incident reports, and shift handover reports.
- Escalate critical alarms, equipment failures, and emergency incidents to the Engineer, Supervisor, or Management in accordance with the escalation matrix.
- Support emergency response procedures including fire alarms, power failures, flooding, and equipment breakdowns. ,lift entrapment, medical gas system alarms, utility failures, and other building emergencies.
- Coordinate communication between users, engineering teams, security personnel, contractors, and external authorities during emergency situations.
- Ensure all FCC operations comply with company SOPs, safety regulations & requirements, and statutory regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation and filing of operational records.
- Assist Engineers with administrative duties, reporting, and coordination of maintenance activities.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Engineer.
Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Facilities Management, Building Operations, or a Command Centre environment.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Basic knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS), Fire Alarm Systems, CCTV, Access Control, HVAC, Electrical, and Mechanical systems.
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, public holidays, and standby duties.
