Healthcare Partnership: Sarawak Delegation

Mar 12, 2025 – Zecon and Tunku Ampuan Besar Tuanku Aishah Rohani Hospital, UKM Specialist Children’s Hospital, had the honour of welcoming an official delegation from Sarawak, led by YB Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Health, Housing, and Local Government.
The visit was also attended by several senior government officials from Sarawak, including:
YBhg Datu Elizabeth Loh – Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Public Health, Housing, and Local Government Sarawak.
Dato Dr Chin Zin Hing – Public Health Advisor, Ministry of Public Health, Housing, and Local Government Sarawak
Encik Adin Jen bin Muhammad Zen – Special Administrative Officer to the Deputy Premier of Sarawak
The purpose of the visit was to strengthen cooperation between Sarawak and Peninsular Malaysia in the healthcare sector and explore potential collaborations to enhance healthcare services nationwide. The delegation received a briefing on the facilities and services provided at the Tunku Ampuan Besar Tuanku Aishah Rohani Hospital, UKM Children’s Specialist Hospital, as well as Zecon’s role in developing healthcare infrastructure in Malaysia.
During the visit, YB Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian highlighted the importance of knowledge and expertise sharing between states to ensure more efficient and effective healthcare services for the people. He also expressed his hopes for increased collaboration between the public and private sectors in enhancing the national healthcare system.
Zecon and Tunku Ampuan Besar Tuanku Aishah Rohani Hospital, UKM Children’s Specialist Hospital deeply appreciate this official visit and look forward to continued close cooperation in improving healthcare facilities across Malaysia. This visit is also expected to pave the way for more strategic initiatives to strengthen the healthcare sector, not only in Peninsular Malaysia but also in Sarawak and throughout the country.
