The Quality, Safety, Health & Environment(QSHE) Department, under the purview of the Safety Officer, has the oversight authority for the Environment of Care (EOC) program. The EOC program consists of Safety Management, Security Management, Hazardous Waste & Materials Management, Emergency Management, Fire/Life Safety Management, Medical Equipment Management and Utilities Management.

The Quality, Safety, Health & Environment(QSHE) Department monitors conditions in the hospital environment and utilizes sound planning, resource allocation, effective training, ongoing monitoring, and implementation of improvements to avoid risk and engage in risk reduction activities.
